A mobile crushing plant for limestone works in Russia at a nominal capacity of 180 t/h. Unlike a fixed line, the whole unit is mounted on a chassis so that it can be moved to the working area, and the plant combines feeding, crushing and conveying on one mobile frame. It is handled as a single self-contained mobile installation rather than a permanent production line.
Limestone is loaded into the feed end and reduced in the crushing stage on board, and the material is then carried away by the conveyor that forms part of the plant. Because it is mobile, the unit can be repositioned as the work front moves, so the plant travels to the material instead of the material being hauled to a fixed site.
