In Russia, this stationary crushing production line processes tuff, a light and porous volcanic rock, at a nominal capacity of 250 t/h. The plant is a fixed installation: the equipment is mounted on permanent foundations, and the crushing and screening train is gathered in one working area. Tuff is a comparatively soft feed, so the flowsheet is arranged around steady, continuous throughput rather than heavy impact duty.
Feed material is received at the head of the line, where the first crushing stage prepares the run-of-quarry feed for further reduction and the second brings it down to the required size before the screens separate it into graded aggregate fractions. Belt conveyors carry the material from one machine to the next and remove the finished products, so the line runs as one continuous process.
