How Do China Mobile Crushers Compare With Stationary

Mobile and stationary crushing plants solve different problems: mobile units follow the work and need no foundations

11 Sep 2026

The choice between a mobile crusher and a stationary plant is a question of how long the site will work and how the material moves. A stationary line — a DC series high efficiency european jaw crusher for the first stage, a DHP multi cylinder hydraulic cone crusher or a PF impact crusher behind it, fed by a ZSW vibrating feeder and sized on YK vibrating screens — is built once, on a foundation, and connected by belt conveyors. Once installed, it moves material by conveyor rather than by truck, and that is where its running cost advantage comes from.

Mobile equipment inverts that logic. A crawler mobile crushing station or a tyre-mounted mobile jaw crushing station carries its own feed hopper, crusher and often a screen on one chassis, so it can be driven to a demolition site, a quarry face or a road project and start work without civil works. A mobile screening station and a mobile heavy-duty screening station take the sizing duty, and a DMSC-65 crawler mobile conveyor links the units or stocks the product. The trade-off is capacity and cost per tonne: a mobile plant is generally built around a smaller crusher than a fixed line.

In practice the decision turns on a few questions. Is the feed location fixed for years, or will it move with the contract? What annual output is required? For a long-life quarry, a stationary line usually wins on throughput. For urban demolition, scattered deposits or short road contracts, mobile stations win because relocation replaces transport. Many projects combine the two, using mobile units for the first reduction and a fixed line for shaping and final grading.
